Best practice day @Rosendahl

We are very pleased to have restarted our new event series called “Best Practice Days”. Started in 2019, these events aim to bring pioneering projects, particularly successful business cases and so on to the attention of our member companies and present them within our association. Numerous companies have already opened their doors and provided honest insights – on 29 September 2022, for example, the Rosendahl company welcomed us to Pischeldorf under the title “Development from free to profitable remote support”. In addition to an exciting company tour, we also received interesting insights from the various presenters. Many thanks to Klaus Prem, Head of Customer Service Rosendahl, for hosting and organising this wonderful event!

Unique service masters course has kicked off

This week the time had finally come. Just short of 20 students began the first week of the masters course in “Service Engineering & Management” at the FH CAMPUS02. The higher education course comprises three semesters, which students complete alongside their professional commitments. That means that by the end of 2020, the first graduates will be able to work as consultants and managers in service-orientated companies helping to develop successful business models. The course offers people with experience in the field to deepen their knowledge in both technology and business. Students focus on designing and managing IT-supported business models particularly in industry, product development and the technical service sector.

Since the Styrian Service Cluster was founded, one of its core aims has been to initiate a further education programme in the field of service. The entire Managing Board of the Cluster is therefore incredibly proud of this development. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the participants and wish the students the best of luck with their education.

KVA Kongress in Altlengbach

We were thrilled to accept the invitation of our cooperation partner, the Kundendienst Verband Österreich (Austrian Customer Service Association) to the 20th KVA Service Congress on April 25 and 26. Participants could expect an exciting programme based around “The exciting future of SERVICE: how to achieve service excellence in a digitized world”. The event also served as the perfect opportunity for us to meet up with our cooperation partners – including representatives from both the Austrian and German Customer Service Associations.

Best Practice Day at Saubermacher

On April 24 of this year, the second Best Practice Day took place under the title “Smart Waste”. This year’s host was Saubermacher Dienstleistungs AG who put together a diverse programme for the members of the Styrian Service Cluster. After an initial tour through the Saubermacher plastics sorting facility in Puchstraße, during which we had the opportunity to experience the company’s core business, there were a number of exciting presentations and discussions in the Ecoport building. Diverse topics such as waste and digitization were bridged with things such as Wastebox, a scanner for recyclables and the smart waste dustbin – all innovative services.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team at Saubermacher Dienstleistungs AG for organizing such a wonderful and fascinating day.

Saubermacher – we’re coming!

The next Best Practice Day will take place on April 24. This time around, the company Saubermacher Dienstleistungs AG will be opening its doors and will be hosting an exciting programme. Besides a tour around the plastics sorting facility, Cluster members can also look forward to receiving an insight into the company from Board Spokesman Ralf Mittermayr. Among others, Andreas Opelt, Managing Director of Sales, will give talks on service and the Saubermacher family – “Humans are the key to service” and a presentation on the latest services on offer. We are already looking forward to spending the day with you!

One final note: This is an internal event of the Styrian Service Cluster and only member companies of the association are invited.

General Meeting 2019

7 – 7 – 23. This isn’t some sort of secret code. It’s some extremely positive key data taken from yesterday’s event. Rather fittingly, on March 7, 2019, the 7th General Meeting of the Styrian Service Cluster took place in the Helmut List Halle for our 23 invited guests from our member companies. We’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thanks to AVL List GmbH for providing the space and for organizing a wonderful introduction to our event. After Ewin Hauser, Managing Director of the Helmut List Halle, took us all on a trip through the history of the site, Kathryn List gave some fascinating insights into the AVL Cultural Foundation.

Our Managing Board members then presented a summary of the Cluster’s activities over the past year and an outlook of what exciting future topics we can expect. Our video project is continuing to grow, the Service Engineering and Management Master’s Course is starting in June, and the Styrian Economy Day will also take place again – just a few examples of what’s coming our way. We are already excited to be getting to grips with these topics together with our member companies, and would like to take this opportunity to welcome the newest member to our ranks. A very warm welcome to the university of applied sciences, the FH Joanneum Kapfenberg.

Best Practice Day at KNAPP

In the Styrian Service Cluster, sharing best practices is one of the cornerstones of our philosophy – one that led us to create a new series of events. At one of our Best Practice Days, our members give open and honest insights into their successful service models, share their experiences and pass on what they have learned along the way. Two of these events have already taken place and we’d like to say a huge thank you to the companies Komptech and Binder+Co for two exciting days.

On January 24, 2019, KNAPP AG took over the helm and hosted the Best Practice Day, welcoming over 30 colleagues from SSC member companies. After taking a brief look back at the history of the intralogistics expert and the key factors that make the company so successful today, it wasn’t long before attention turned to the Cluster’s passion – service. Manfred Fuchs, Director of International Customer Service and Chairman of the Styrian Service Cluster introduced his division and the services KNAPP offers. Afterwards there were talks on various different topics:

  • KNAPP Promoter Score
  • Business Roadmap
  • Remote Services: then and now
  • Digital services in the industrial engineering sector

The subsequent discussions on each of the talks demonstrated the considerable interest of the participants and how valuable such events are for the future. On this note, we’re eagerly looking forward to the next Best Practice Day!

Styrian Service Cluster general assembly

The association celebrates its five-year anniversary at its 2017 general assembly.

Five-year anniversary, two new members and numerous projects in the pipeline: yesterday’s Styrian Service Cluster general assembly not only offered an exciting programme, it also gave reason to celebrate. The Ecoport building of our member company Saubermacher Dienstleistungs AG provided the perfect location. We’d like to say thank you once again for allowing us to celebrate there yesterday. In addition to the fascinating content, the members also took a certificate home with them to mark our anniversary. “Five years ago, a handful of Styrian companies shared the same idea. Today, there are around 20 member companies from a diverse range of sectors. We have numerous exciting projects behind us as well as in the pipeline. On this note, here’s to the next five years,” says Kajetan Bergles, SSC Board Member and Service Development Manager at KNAPP.

We are exciting about the next five years and more, and would like to take this opportunity to give a warm welcome to our new members Rosendahl Nextrom GmbH and M&R Automation GmbH.
